Fencing Leagues Are Forming Now!
This year, in addition to the usual Open Competition schedule, the OC Division is organizing a “some-what less formal” League Competition Circuit. The idea is similar to leagues in other sports. Put together a team of 3 or 4, and enter. We will have a separate “youth” league (15 and under) and an “All-Ages” league. Anybody can play! No USFA membership required! Not a member of the OC-Division? No problem! Just make a team, any team, and enter.
We’ll take all the teams that enter and put together a schedule for competition that rotates among the clubs; we’d like for all the teams to meet twice. More information will be available on the Orange Coast Division Website as it becomes available…
The signups will be posted on AskFred, there is a $10 per fencer fee to cover the cost of trophies (that’s $10 total for the whole Fall season). First week of competition will be Thursday, September 29th for the “All-Ages” League; and Friday, September 30 for the “Youth League”. Both will begin at Gryphon Fencing Club, 7:30 pm. 971 Via Rodeo Placentia, CA 92870.
